Happy New Year from the snowy Northeast!
Mother nature brought us more snow today and the mountains in the Valley (and basically everywhere in New England) benefited. Here is a quick rundown of the mountains nearby
Attitash: 40 Trails open and 17 new inches of snow since this past Monday.
Wildcat: 32 trails open and some snow overnight. Very cold though at the mountain with temps today ZERO at best! Report this morning had it -15 which is why the quad is closed. Regardless, a favorite mountain of mine!
Bretton Woods: 52 trails open with some snow overnight. Temps are zero here as well but much of the mountain appears to be open
Cranmore: 42 trails with 8 inches of new snow overnight. Given the holiday week, my guess this place will be busy given its proximity the conway village. The Mountain adventure park is also open!
Black Mountain: 42 trails open with a base temp of 10 degrees. They got some snow but not as much as the others more westward.
In addition to the trails being open, the learnings centers at each of these places are very good as well. I have used Atttiash the most but have heard good things about Cranmore, Wildcat and Bretton Woods (have not heard about Black mountains). If you have young one's, might be an option - put them in a group 2 hour lesson and ski the mountain in the meantime...or venture to the restaurant at these locations and sit back and relax.
