As we continue our reviews of the mountains within driving distance of our condo in Bartlett, today's feature is Loon Mountain. Now honestly, I have not been to Loon in several years so my information is from those I know who do attend. First and foremost, the only bad words I have heard about Loon relate to traffic getting there and the surrounding area. It is very tough from what some have said to me. However, the mountain itself is pretty good. In terms of challenging, I would put it in the middle of the road group but overall, I remember it being an enjoyful time. In the surrounding area, the town of Lincoln is a pretty busy place. We actually ate at an great steakhouse (that I forget at this point) after visiting the Hobo Railroad a year ago for the Polar express. I will touch on that railroad in the week's ahead.
