The Mount Washington Valley is a great place to venture year round (I am obviously biased). In the summer, you get hiking, canoeing, Storyland and other activities. In the winter you have skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. In the spring you get great temps and the beginning of golf season. Finally in the fall, in addition to the foliage and storyland, you get the pumpkin people!
The pumpkin people are everywhere up here at the moment. Everyone seems to create one for the front of their storefront, there house or in the case of the Seasons, on top of the mini Green Monster at the front of the resort. In Jackson last night, where we ate at the Shannon Door Pub, these creations are everywhere. At the snowflake, they have a sea theme with fish and octopus pumpkins. Across the street is a jack and the beanstalk theme. Also at the Wildcat inn, there are four pumpkin dogs playing poker. There is a haunted house next to the firestation and a pacman pumpkin people wall as well (tough to describe).
These pumpkin people have also invaded Bartlett as well where our condo resides. In addition to the one's on top of little Fenway, there is some pumpkin fireman saving a cat in front of the red parka Restuarant and some others right nearby. I will continue to tweet out pics of these creations #pumpkinpeople if you are on twitter. I will update our Facebook page with all the pics and the website as well.
This is something worth coming north for (even if you don't stay at my condo!).
