Twitter is a fantastic medium for getting information our quickly. It does have many limitations though and let's talk a bit more about #thinksnow week on our blog. The "short" of #thinksnow week on our blog is to showcase all the mountains which are within an hour drive of our condo. At last count yesterday, the amount was 10 (I had forgot about Shawnee peak).
The ten mountains are as follows (with driving distance)
- Attitash Mountain (5 minutes)
- Cranmore Mountain (15 minutes)
- Black Mountain (15 minutes)
- Wildcat Mountain (20 minutes)
- Bretton Woods (30 minutes)
- King Pine (40 minutes)
- Shawnee Peak (45 minutes)
- Cannon Mountain (50 minutes)
- Loon Mountain (55 minutes)
- Sunday River (1 hour)
With 10 mountains to access, our unit offers a unique value proposition during the winter. Just within 30 minutes, one can hit the cross country paths across the road, ski one of the highest peaks in the northeast (Wildcat), drive a mere 5 minutes to a solid mountain (Attitash) or continue up 302 to 100+ trails (Bretton woods). Oh, did I mention one could ski Cranmore in the Conway side of the valley and venture out to the village as well afterward for a good bite to eat?
Outside of the 30 minutes spectrum, you have access to the likes of Cannon Mountain and Sunday river - both awesome options to consider. And if you choose, venture to Lincoln and Loon which is growing in its own right. Lastly for the kids, King Pine is a fine option as it also has tubing as well. Lastly for the most adventurous out there, consider Tuckerman's Ravine - ok, the very most daring might be more appropriate. That is an hour from our condo (a focus on Mount Washington will be coming in a few weeks).
So as we venture through #thinksnow week here at McCartySeasons.com, ask yourself, "should I plan skiing this winter? Further, does this location seem ideal? Further, which if these mountains should I venture out to this winter? And how do I request more information?"
That last question is easy - email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
