So welcome to my first post on this blog! Yes, our condo does have a blog but we don't post as much to it anymore due to time constraints (and three kids who kind of take away time to write very thoughtful columns on the Mount Washington Valley including Storyland and Attitash). So this blog will be very short and sweet in term of content and no thought will be put into it at all!
In all seriousness, this blog is a mechanism for me to use to improve my running and by extension my health. When I was younger I was a sprinter and my races involved 100 and 200 meters. Life stepped in over the past 20 years and I got away from running. This past 9 months though, I have made an effort to run and get in shape. Focus initially was to become a better teammate for Team Guzman as we run the Reach the Beach Relay this upcoming September. It has not evolved into a personal challenge for me to become a very good half marathon runner (ok, let's say decent one) with my goal of doing a half at 1hr and 30 minutes. Since I did yesterday's half in Portand, ME in 2 hours and 1 minute, I have a ways to go!
As this journal progresses, I hope to share useful information for you to consider but also keep me inline and working hard to reach my goal. Thank you for reading and enjoy the journey!
